This is the homepage of amateur radio station DL8MBS. My name is Chris and I live in Erfurt in the central part of Germany. I`m one of three million radio amateurs worldwide.
On this pages you will find some informations about my favourite parts of this fascinating hobby. With the power of a flashlight battery and some wire in the garden we can send a signal around the globe - a feeling that cannot be matched by using internet or mobile phones. What is also very special to our hobby is "talking with fingertips" - communicating by the sound of morse code. And there is so much more with ham radio from teletyping, sending signals via the moon or satellites, fiddling with antennas like "Bobtails", "Spiders" or "Lazy-Hs" to meeting friends around the world.
So look around and don´t forget to come back from time to time as this pages evolve. Best wishes or "73" as we radio amateurs like to say.
